
Treasure Sweeper
Submission for Brackeys Game Jam 2025.2
Navigate your way through trap-filled rooms in the hope of finding ancient treasures. Each step could reveal hidden gold, or a deadly trap - consider your moves carefully as you go deeper and deeper into each room, as the risks become bigger and bigger.
Use items to help inform the path you take. Will you survive long enough to find all 10 ancient treasures?
The theme, 'Risk it for the biscuit', immediately brought the classic game minesweeper to mind - what could be more risky than walking through a minefield. The issue, minesweeper relies on skill and deduction rather than taking risks. Still, I tried to combine the idea of minesweeper with a dungeon crawl style adventure, introducing risk by not revealing every tile, and forcing the player to calculate a least-risky path to the treasure.

Great game only thing to improve is the accuracy of the numbered tiles. Sometimes i find traps near and on 0. I have found earthquake and spike traps this way
